Thank You for a Great Year at West Hills

As the year comes to a close, we want to sincerely thank our members, supporters, volunteers, and community for making it another successful year at West Hills Shooting & Training Facility. Your support of our community-funded, non-profit range allows us to continue growing, improving, and serving shooters of all ages and disciplines.

Looking ahead, we plan to continue these activities, expand the trap and rifle ranges, and offer more youth opportunities across pistol, archery, rifle, and trap.

Weather Closure Notice
To help protect the range during periods of heavy rain, the facility is currently temporarily closed. Reopening updates will be posted on Facebook and our website.

Thank you for being part of the West Hills community. We look forward to seeing you back on the range soon.

Our Programs

This year we were proud to remain the home of the Glenn County high school trap teams affiliated with the California State High School Clay Target League, host quality training with Evan Bohan of Northern Firearms Instruction, and see continued growth at our archery range. Our Thursday Night Shoots with Mike Karle, deer season preparation, and Fun Trap Leagues in June and October kept the range active and welcoming.

We also enjoyed memorable events, including Fright Night in October and the Shot Heard Around the World on April 10th, commemorating the Lexington–Concord Battle.

Facilities

Looking ahead, we plan to continue these activities, expand the trap and rifle ranges, and offer more youth opportunities across pistol, archery, rifle, and trap.

We can always use some help in the spring and summer with grass control. If you find time to volunteer we can use you!

Our classes will be taught by members of the firearms community that see safety as the first priority. We will offer education and training in rifle, pistol, shotgun, and archery.
